Digital Butler membership guarantees state-of-the-art smart home technologies operate on one unified system across each of the estate’s remote locations.
Our client’s family residence is a quintessential Home Counties Estate. An elegant country house with a range of outbuildings dotted across the expanse of undulating Hampshire Downland within the estate’s perimeters.
A key priority for the client was to have their state-of-the-art smart home technologies operating on one unified system across each of the estate’s remote locations.
Achieving fully synchronised security, heating, lighting, entertainment, intercoms and even pool control systems across the manor and multiple outhouses is no small feat. Not least with the power supply and broadband challenges stemming from the estate’s vast size. As such, a Digital Butler membership, and the expertise it guarantees, was the perfect way to ensure our client’s needs were met.
Our fully integrated KNX system monitors and maintains each facet of the property’s high-end smart systems, from the magisterial automated gates, to the full-size outdoor pool and luxurious home cinema. We keep a keen eye on the broadband and power supply at all times to understand and respond to any issues the moment they happen, if not before. Indeed, the first our client hears of most errors within the system is in our detailed weekly report, days after the issues have been detected, identified and resolved.
Our remote management can even anticipate and expedite solutions to hardware problems.
In the plant room, the beating heart of a smart-home system of this size, we noticed the temperature was exceeding the recommended level for optimal system functionality.
We installed a probe to remotely monitor the temperature at all hours, and devised an alert mechanism to log any changes. This data informed a number of adjustments to the plant room’s filtration and ventilation systems, bringing the temperature comfortably within recommended boundaries.
Thus a subtle problem which, left unnoticed, would threaten the functionality of the whole estate’s smart-system, was solved with minimal interference or discernible change to our client’s smart home experience.
